Mornings set the tone for your day.
Hectic mornings leave you feeling rushed. You may find yourself struggling all day to feel settled, creating unnecessary stress. On the other hand, when you have a morning filled with purpose and intention, the positive energy you manifest carries on throughout your day.
What is a morning routine?
A morning routine is a conscious activity that you routinely, repeatedly, and intentionally engage in. It doesn’t have to be anything in particular, but rather, just something that works for you. It’s best to keep it simple so you’re more likely be consistent every morning.
Let’s take a moment to explore some morning routine practices that don’t have to take a lot of time and include intention, affirmations, and self love to set your day up for success.
First thought in your head, a bridge to the subconscious.
When you fist wake up, focus on the thought from your dream to waking state; this thought has a very wide range. Try to remember whatever you were dreaming. Getting into and achieving a place where you can access your subconscious is trained by this quick morning activity. Write as much as possible or take voice memos to record the information you learn.
Drink of intention.
Whatever your morning drink of choice, take a moment while you are making it to infuse it with your intention. Focus on your desired outcome, how it feels. Charge your drink with your thoughts and intentions. As you are enjoying your drink, take a moment at each sip to think about what your intention means to you and how you will uphold it today. The drink works as a token to keep you anchored into your authentic self, and the existing routine makes it possible to quickly add this into your busy morning.
Clean teeth and clear mind.
When brushing your teeth (or other morning hygiene activity) visualize cleaning some of the thoughts from your mind. You know, the unhelpful, repetitive, usually non benefical type. No matter your connection to these thoughts, letting go of them is definitely for the better. Practice gently brushing these thoughts off of you and down the drain. Send them grounding into the earth. Use mindshift meditation energize movement to refill your energetic void.
