Daily Massage

Daily Self Massage invigorates blood flow, relaxes tension, and clears stuck energy.

Your commitment to self care doesn't have to take a lot of time. Perform self massage daily, even if only taking a few moments to do so. Consistency is key.

Your Self to Be Daily Routine takes approximately 5-9 minutes to complete.

The daily routine commitment takes only a few minutes, though you can take much longer when desired. It's okay to break the exercises up and perform separately. Most important is to practice every day. If you don't have much time, it is perfectly fine to abbreviate the exercises occasionally. Your commitment to practice every day is required to achieve results.

Scalp (1-3 minutes)

A quick scalp massage removes tension through the neck. Visualize a layer of thick fog resting on your head and shoulders extending an inch or two from all your surfaces. As you massage, you are breaking up this layer. When you perform the brushing off movements, imagine brushing it off of you with several strokes. Feel like you have removed a layer of debris from your field.

  1. Using your fingernails or fingertips, start toward your forehead.

  2. Walk your fingers back towards the back of your head.

  3. If desired scratch your scalp during movements.

  4. Repeat a few times first working from the front/forehead over the top and down the back of your head.

  5. Alternate with working fingers back along sides of head

  6. Use your thumb if desired to massage your temples.

  7. With brushing fingers, move down towards back of your head and neck.

  8. Brush off your shoulders one at a time alternating as if you are dusting grass off your shoulder.

  9. Repeat all as desired or until tension in the head and neck begins to ease.

Facial Tapping (1-3 minutes)

Facial tapping brings blood flow and helps facial muscles relax. When possible, perform this exercise where you can lay your head back gently and let go of your muscles. Visualize soft, warm rain as you are tapping, harder taps can be stronger rain. Allow this rain to wash off any tightness and stuck energy. Brush your face off gently at the end as if you are brushing a light mist from your skin.

  1. With a light touch, using both hands, start tapping gently with all your fingers on several parts of your face.

  2. By experimenting with how your face feels, you can learn where the tension is held.

  3. When you feel tension or release area, massage that area using your fingers or preferred self care massage tool (facial roller, orb, etc.)

  4. Use your palms and brush over your face multiple times as if you are washing your face.

  5. Pat your face with both palms gently as if patting dry.

  6. Brush your face off gently as if you are whisking away the last bit of misty dew.
